TBH, I don&#8217;t get the hate on these devices. I had never seen one before today, but my brother wanted the RCWA repeater saved on it for the hamfest this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve definitely seen HT menu systems that were significantly worse than this device&#8230; and it&#8217;s got dual VFO. None of my other HTs have that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quick version so I can repeat this someday&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Set radio on VFO A in frequency mode (not channel mode)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the frequency of the repeater<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press menu. type 25 &#8211; This will take you to SFT-D (shift)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Press menu again to enter edit mode for this setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use up\/down arrows to set to plus of minus shift<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press menu again to save the setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now either use the up arrow or type 26 for the offset.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Again, use menu to enter edit mode<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the offset with the keypad<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press menu again to save the setting.<br>(Note the menu > adjust setting > menu workflow)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continue through the settings as needed for\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>13 T-CTCS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>27 &#8211; MEM-CH<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press Exit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>At this point, switch to channel mode and you should be able to find your memory channel.<br><br>Easy peasy, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Credit to Ham Radio Tube for the YT video on how to do this.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=XvpRlMJXzPo\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=XvpRlMJXzPo<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So yes, I touched a Baofeng.
